Message example. Replace the offer, hours and destination with your venue’s details.
01

Start on the pavement, not in the editor.

Record where the display appears along the route and what covers the content: shop-window borders, reflections, furniture or products. Artwork that works on a computer can be cropped from one side. Take a draft to the site and ask another person to explain what they understood without showing them the offer first. Record their words and viewing position; do not present an informal exercise as a conversion rate.

02

The offer condition is content too.

If the message needs a date, a product selection or a condition of use, reserve a readable block for it. Do not shrink it to fit more claims. For a real promotion, the owner must check the text against the current offer and remove it when it ends.

03

Keep three campaigns out of one slide.

The morning slot can communicate opening, the busiest slot a collection, and the last slot the following day’s hours. Adjust duration and order to the walking route. Before scheduling it, check that each slide makes sense on its own. Someone walking past may see only part of the sequence.

04

The season changes the site visit.

AEMET normals describe a weather station’s climate over a historical period. Use them to prepare questions about the season and time of a visit. At the shop window, record orientation, shade and actual glass. Outdoor averages do not give temperatures inside the equipment or calculate required nits. If awnings, glass or position change, repeat the review with the same content.

05

Have a fallback when the campaign is missing.

Prepare a basic slide with the trading name you are authorized to use, current opening hours and the entrance. Agree who checks that the image actually appears after an update. A screenshot of the content manager does not establish what people see from the street. Record the content version, expiry date and update owner in the content desk; keep the replacement artwork too.

Sources and application

WAI addresses web interfaces; it does not prescribe signage sizes or viewing distances. Check wording on the actual display and from the intended position.

Try your three slides.

Write messages, assign their review and keep the plan to work with your team.
