One location, one decision
In a shop window, the message competes with reflections and must make sense in passing. In a queue, it may be read for longer. In a corridor, give directions before the junction, not after it. Draw the visitor journey and place each display according to the action you want to support. Avoid adding screens where a fixed sign already does the job.
Read from the least favorable position
Test the final file from the most distant and off-axis positions. Reduce information if the message is not understood; higher resolution does not turn overly small text into readable text. Use contrast, hierarchy and a dwell time appropriate to reading. For video, check captions and formats too.
Run an operational pilot
Publish, correct and withdraw a message with the team that will operate it. Disconnect the network and check what remains visible. Restore the connection and confirm the correct version arrives. Document the cost of maintaining that capability at each site and responsibility for expired content.

Common questions
Does more resolution always improve the result?
No. Content, type size, distance and reflections may limit readability.
Do I need a CMS for one screen?
It depends on frequency, owners and control needs. Include manual work in the comparison.
