Start with the job the display must do: inform, sell, guide or support a meeting. Then check that the model, mounting and operation fit that job. A “professional” label is no substitute for a specification or a test in the actual space.
What to look at first
Small text matters in an office; reflections matter in a shop window; continuity and privacy matter in a hospital. Record viewing distance, content, light and operating hours before comparing screen sizes. Request orientation, operating temperature and commercial-use warranty documentation. Separate manufacturer claims from what you have verified.
Three questions for your project
- Is the content readable from the user’s position?
- Are the planned hours and orientation permitted?
- Who can replace the device without rebuilding the installation?
One step you can take today
Walk through the site with the operations team. Gather real content samples, reading positions and maintenance conditions. Use the related guides to document requirements and the workshop to organize what is known and what is pending.
