Interaction should reduce effort rather than add steps. In meetings and education, test writing, shared reading and device connection. In self-service, test the task from start to finish. Touch technology, display cover glass and software form a combination: evaluate the complete assembly in its intended environment.
What to look at first
A meeting room needs a simple start, secure sharing and an ending that leaves no open sessions. In education, check access for different people and the formats of teaching materials. Do not use touch-point count or resolution as substitutes for a real usability test. Decide who updates software and who helps when the touch interface stops responding.
Three questions for your project
- Does it work with the room’s actual devices?
- Is there an alternative if touch fails?
- Can it be cleaned without damaging display cover glass or its coatings?
One step you can take today
Walk through the site with the operations team. Gather real content samples, reading positions and maintenance conditions. Use the related guides to document requirements and the workshop to organize what is known and what is pending.
